The Location
Vila Marques, founded in 1896
in the heart of the village of Alvega, which was once an important Lusitanian city called Aritium Vetus, is located south of the municipality of Abrantes on the left bank of the Tagus River, where the river begins to free itself from deep valleys and forming alluvial and fertile soils.
